Overview

Located in the bustling Westgate Center along Filinvest Avenue in Muntinlupa, Alba Restaurante Español offers a genuine taste of Spain nestled within Metro Manila’s vibrant food scene. This Spanish restaurant invites diners to embark on a culinary journey defined by traditional dishes crafted with care and a clear respect for authentic flavors.

The heart of Alba’s menu lies in its masterful execution of classic Spanish fare. The Paella Valenciana stands out as a must-try, celebrated by frequent guests for its balanced seasoning and generous mix of fresh ingredients. Alongside it, specialties such as Callos, Gambas Al Ajillo, and the visually captivating Paella Negra reflect the restaurant’s deep connection to Spanish culinary heritage. Homemade chorizo and delights like Calamares Fritos and Croquetas De Jamón also showcase both rustic charm and rich flavors that satisfy seasoned palates.

Beyond the main dishes, the dining experience at Alba is elevated by its thoughtfully paired refreshments. The Sangria and Mojito are popular choices, capturing the lively and social spirit of Spain’s traditional gatherings. Dessert lovers will appreciate offerings such as the indulgent Triple Layer Chocolate Cake, which rounds off a meal on a sweet note.

Atmosphere plays an essential role in the overall experience. Alba combines indoor and outdoor seating, creating a versatile setting suitable for both intimate dates and casual gatherings. While some patrons find the ambiance inviting, others note the space could benefit from minor updates to enhance comfort and flow, especially during live band performances where sound levels may affect conversation. Efforts to maintain attentive service remain evident, with staff consistently attentive and responsive, contributing to a warm and welcoming vibe.

Alba’s appeal shines brightest among diners seeking authentic Spanish flavors paired with a relaxed yet refined environment. It's ideal for food enthusiasts who value traditional recipes crafted with thoughtful ingredients. The location at Westgate Center, though convenient, poses some challenges such as limited formal parking, which prospective visitors should consider when planning their visit. Still, the steady flow of repeat guests speaks volumes about the satisfaction Alba delivers.

In summary, Alba Restaurante Español is a solid choice for those who want to savor Spain’s rich culinary tapestries without leaving Metro Manila. From its signature paellas to its robust tapas selections, complemented by spirited drinks and attentive service, it offers a memorable Spanish dining experience that resonates with both newcomers and seasoned aficionados alike.

Food was ok. Need more space for the band, otherwise speaking to your family is impossible with them playing right next to your ears (still an amazing band, just way too loud )

We liked everything that we ordered. Delicious, not too salty, warm food served with free bread rolls to go along with your meal. We'll try again other dishes, on our next visit. Oh, and the staff/crew are always there to check if u still need anything. Refills drinking water from time to time.

Another restaurant that deserves better than a but not quite a 4 so 3.5 is my overall score. Located in Alabang Westgate an interesting location with a wide choice of F&B offerings. You end up paying for parking yet there is no formal parking - which is not a promising start and yes it only cost 50php for the period we was at the restaurant. We visited on a Tuesday and parking was a challenge so not sure what it would be like at the weekend. The restaurant itself as both outdoor and indoor seating and there is a theming behind it, which helped with the atmosphere / ambiance but it seemed like it was missing something and the fake flowers on the table did not help. At the table we was presented with a basket of bread which seemed fresh and was a good start to the food. The menu is typically Spanish and the charges are reasonable but the House Salad for the charge was overpriced. I followed this up with an equivalent of a spicy Caldereta - sadly not sure where the spice was. The meat itself seemed to be of good quality to start with, but as I went on the quality dismissed. At the table we had a Paella which was better than a previous location we had visited and the remaining dishes were OK. The washrooms was a shared location and whilst it had a reasonable smell - it seemed like it needed refreshing and the dark walls did not help. WOULD I RECOMMEND? - YES give it a go WILL I RETURN? Possibly.

One of the best Spanish Restaurant taste and experience. The food are just the right amount of seasoning. The service is great and the ambiance is above average (the place looks old though). The place is highly recommended for dates and for taste savvy people. This restaurant will not fail you at a very fair price. A bit of advice is reserve the place since sometimes it gets crowded. Order the Paella first since it takes more than 30 minutes to cook. Sometimes the service is slow especially the food, but it may be because of the quality of food that takes time to cook.

07/08/25. Spanish???????? Despedida Brunch with friends. Alba is one of our Go To restaurants for fine food and top notch service. GOOD: 1. Complimentary starter bread basket with rolls and baguette slices was served hot and fragrant. 2. Ensalada del Caezar was served on chilled plates... Very proper rarely experienced in restaurants these days. 3. Hot Tapas were delicious together with warm bread. 4. Paella Valenciana as always...a crowd pleaser. 5. Service was top notch. Not intrusive but always ready to refill water as necessary. Changed plate and changed cutlery when main course was served. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. The New Zealand Oysters was expensive at P1750 for 6 pieces. May i suggest to make it 8 pieces. We had a memorable and fun despedida brunch with full tummies. Thank you.
